   Schedule 2025-26

The MV Bavaria is a steel ship 28 meters long and 6.5 meters wide. Designed and planned by Markus Egginger, owner of Loma Diving Adventure. Based on its 15 years of experience, the ship was designed by divers for divers. It has all the amenities that a safari boat must have.

6-day tours take you to the most beautiful and famous dive sites in Thailand (Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and Surin Islands). Everything at a unique price / performance ratio. The group size is 4 - 6 divers per diveguide.

The MV Bavaria was built in 2016 in Thailand according to the latest marine and safety standards. All guests are accommodated in comfortable cabins with air conditioning. The ship has 2 standard cabins on the upper deck, 6 Comfort twin cabins with private bath / WC on the main deck, 2 Comfort cabins with double bed and private bath / WC in the lower deck (these are also offered as a single room) and 2 Deluxe cabins large double bed and private bath / WC on the main deck. The maximum number of guests is 24. All cabins are kept clean and tidy during your stay on board by our crew. Friendly staff and excellent food make for a pleasant stay during the safari.

Due to our many years of experience with dive safaris, we promise you with the MV Bavaria best and safe diving in all areas that we visit. You just have to relax and enjoy diving.

We promise that our captain is doing his best to allow a relaxed traveling between the dive sites and the size of the vessel also contributes a sleek and smooth glide over the sea.

If you do not want to dive, you can also get on board and enjoy our Safari as snorkelers or in between relaxing on the beach. As we welcome everyone on board, including those who want to make a diving course at the Similans.

With daily transfers to and from the safari boat MV Koon 9, we offer a very flexible 2-day/1-night tour. You can start on the day of your choice and dive at the best sites the Similan and Surin Islands have to offer.

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and transferred by speedboat to the MV Koon 9. There will be two dives during the day before the speedboat returns to shore. Once the speedboat departs, there are fewer people on board, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy the late afternoon and sunset on the islands. There is also the option of a sunset dive or a night dive. On your departure day, you can enjoy a refreshing early morning dive before boarding the speedboat later in the day, returning to the pier, and arriving at your hotel around 5:30 p.m.

We do four dives daily at 7:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. After the speedboat transfer, our clients arrive on board in time for the second dive of the day. Return to the mainland is after the third dive the following day.

This means you'll do six dives during a two-day, one-night tour.

The Similan Islands and its marine life! Liveaboard trip in this area is one of the best scuba diving experiences you will find in Thailand. Its huge granite boulders with caverns and arches, lush greenery and white sand beaches ring the nine islands, completing the view from above water. The marine ecology in this area is unparalleled, colourful schools of fish, coral reefs, and endangered species that welcome divers like the Whale Sharks or Manta Rays. Look out for such photogenic little critters as ghost pipefish, sea moths, frogfish, ribbon eels and many different nudibranchs. Koh Tachai and Koh Bon, parts of the Similan Island National Park, are visited en-route to Richelieu Rock in the Surin Marine Park, and offer more Pelagics, Napoleon Wrasse and Night Diving for Macro-Critters.

Whatever your scuba diving pleasure might be, the Similan and Surin Marine Parks are the dive destinations that will satisfy your desires and give you the trip of a lifetime.

   Schedule 2025-26

26 meters long and with a steel hull,
the MV Andaman offers a comfortable ride, even through the waves.

We accommodate a maximum of 20 clients, 5 dive guides, and 6 crew members. With three decks, you'll never feel cramped on board. Our cheerful crew has been with us for many years and offers very attentive service. Our dive guides are passionate about the sea and share interesting facts with you during each dive briefing.

Delicious, freshly prepared meals are provided by our chef, along with snacks and plenty of fresh tropical fruit. On the last evening of our 3- and 4-day trips, we host our popular barbecue and cocktail evening on the upper deck.
This is a unique and unforgettable evening, much loved by our guests.

The MV Andaman features three full-length decks and an unusual two-tiered sundeck. We have five different areas for relaxation! Many encounters take place at the tables on the main deck. Relaxation can also be found in a hammock or on one of the sun loungers. You can also make yourself comfortable on a beanbag on the upper deck. Or take a break in your air-conditioned cabin.

We are sure that you will enjoy your time on board with us as much as diving at these world-famous dive sites.

NavigationRadar & GPS
CommunicationVHF radio
Securitysmoke detectors & fire extinguishers,
First aid100% oxygen, first aid kits, life jackets, 2 life rafts and 2 dinghies
FurnishingLower Deck
The lower deck is the starting point of our adventure. This is where we dive, sleep, and relax between dives. All cabins are fully air-conditioned and offer the utmost comfort after a day in the water. Each cabin has personal reading lights, 220V outlets, and ample storage space for your personal belongings.
We have:
2 double cabins with en-suite bathrooms
2 standard double cabins
2 six-bed cabins with bunk beds
Each cabin has a window so you can see the sea.
The three bathrooms with toilets and hot showers are located in the middle of this deck. Plus three separate hand basins with mirrors.

At the stern is the dive deck, where your equipment and tanks are stored. Only two groups will be preparing for the dive at a time, and our attentive boat crew will assist you. So much so, in fact, that they often seem to be everywhere at once! We also have freshwater tanks here so you can rinse your computers, lights, and cameras after diving. The large dive dock has two ladders and two freshwater showers for a quick rinse after diving or swimming.

The Middle Deck
The middle deck is the central common area where we all meet for dive briefings and meals. Our large, shaded dining area takes up most of this deck, with the open sides making the most of the sea breeze. Don't worry, we also have rain covers in case it rains!
In the service area, you can self-serve hot drinks, cold soft drinks, cereal, fruit, and cookies. The Mid-deck is a great place to hang out, fill out your logbook, and browse our selection of fish identification books. In the evenings, we have a selection of cold local beers and wine for sale. You can sit back and share dive stories, play chess, or play cards.
The two large wooden dining tables, surrounded by cushioned seating, promote a lively, convivial atmosphere. You can move freely during meals and get to know your fellow divers.
The rest of the Mid-deck houses are the staff quarters, the galley, and the pilothouse.

The Upper Deck
A guest favorite! Running the entire length of the boat, our split-level deck launch is quite unique.
At the bow, the open-air sundeck with sun mattresses and beanbags is the best spot for sun worshippers. Enjoy the panoramic views, catch the sea breeze, or quietly sip a coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise.
A wooden table and benches are in the center of the upper deck under a shady sunroof. On the last evening of the cruise, we host our famous BBQ & cocktail party here.
There's also a large platform with padded mattresses and three hammocks! This is a popular spot for reading, relaxing, and taking a nap.
And finally, at the stern, is our popular open-air star deck, filled with comfortable beanbags. A spiral staircase takes you back to the dining deck if you need a cold drink.

Food on Board
We know our freshly prepared meals on board will be a highlight of your diving trip—expect to gain a few pounds!
Before your first dive in the morning, you can help yourself to a cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate and a light snack in the service area.

Breakfast is Western-style with bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, and potatoes. Fresh bread, toast, and a selection of jams and fruits are available. We prepare a bowl of rice soup every morning if you'd like to try a traditional Thai breakfast.

Lunch and dinner are served Thai-style, with a selection of our favorite recipes. Enjoy (not too) spicy curries, coconut soups, fresh vegetables, and whole-fried fish. We have fresh seasonal fruit for dessert after every meal.
Afternoons mean snack time after the third dive. Cornflakes and fruit are always available, too. Oh, and the cookie jar is never far away! Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements so our chef can prepare something for you.

On your last evening on board, we invite you to a cocktail and BBQ on the open-air sundeck. This night is a true team effort! The boat crew cooks the barbecue, the dive staff mixes our signature cocktail, while our chef prepares handmade sauces. It's usually a fun, lively night and leaves you with fond memories of your time with us on a Sea Dragon liveaboard.

Itinerary
Departure day:
You can check in any time before 4 p.m. on your departure day. Simply leave your luggage in our luggage room and explore the city, go to the beach, treat yourself to a massage, and/or have dinner. We'll meet back at the dive center at 6:30 p.m., ready for departure.

Your guide will hold a short pre-departure briefing at the dive center before the boat departs. Our southern trips depart from Tablamu Port, which is approximately 20 minutes away by taxi. Our northern trips depart from Khuraburi Port and take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by air-conditioned minibus.

On board, we'll show you your cabin and where to stow your luggage. The trip supervisor will then give you a boat orientation and briefing on the middle deck. The trip to the islands takes approximately 4-5 hours to the Similans or Koh Tachai, and 3-4 hours to the Surin Islands.

A typical first day on board

FurnishingLower Deck
This is where we dive and sleep. All cabins are air-conditioned and have personal reading lights, 220V outlets, and storage space.

We have:
2x double-bed cabins with en-suite bathrooms and a large double bed
4x twin/double cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Can be converted from two single beds to a large double bed.
Each cabin has a window so you can see the sea.

Three bathrooms with toilets and hot showers are located in the middle of this deck. The crew cabins and galley are also located on this deck.

At the stern is the dive deck, where your equipment and tanks are stored. Only two groups will be preparing for the dive at a time, and our attentive boat crew will assist you. So much so, in fact, that they often seem to be everywhere at once! We also have fresh water tanks here so you can rinse your computers, lights, and cameras after diving. The large dive dock has two ladders and two freshwater showers for a quick rinse after diving or swimming.

The Middle Deck
2x Standard Double Bed Cabins
Each cabin has a window so you can see the sea.
The middle deck is the central common area where we all meet for dive briefings and meals. Our large, shaded dining area takes up most of this deck, with the open sides making the most of the sea breeze. Don't worry, we also have rain covers in case it rains!

In the service area, you can help yourself to hot drinks, cold soft drinks, cereal, fruit, and cookies. The middle level is a great place to hang out, fill out your logbook, and browse our selection of fish identification books. In the evenings, we have a selection of cold local beers and wine for sale. You can sit back and share dive stories, play chess, or play cards.

Large wooden dining tables surrounded by cushioned seating promote a lively, sociable atmosphere. You can move freely during meals and get to know your fellow divers.

The rest of the middle deck houses the pilothouse.

The Upper Deck
Our favorite deck! The upper deck runs halfway along the boat.
At the bow, the open sundeck with sun loungers and beanbags is the best spot for sun worshippers. Enjoy the panoramic views, catch the sea breeze, or sip a morning coffee in peace while watching the sunrise.
The center of the upper deck features a shaded sunroof with cushioned mattresses filled with comfortable beanbags and hammocks! This is a popular spot for reading, relaxing, and taking an afternoon nap.

Procedure
Departure Day:
You can check in any time before 4 p.m. on your departure day. Simply leave your luggage in our luggage room and explore the city, go to the beach, treat yourself to a massage, and/or have dinner. We'll meet back at the dive center at 6:30 p.m., ready for departure.

If you have your own equipment, take it to the boat in our taxi. If you're using Sea Dragon equipment, the dive instructors will bring it to the boat earlier and set it up for you. You'll need to check it thoroughly yourself after the boat briefing.

Your guide will hold a short pre-departure briefing at the dive center before the boat departs. Our southern trips depart from Tablamu harbor, which takes about 20 minutes by taxi. Our northern trips depart from Khuraburi harbor, which takes about 1 hour 20 minutes by air-conditioned minibus.

On board, we'll show you your cabin and where to stow your luggage. The trip supervisor will then give you a boat orientation and briefing on the middle deck. The trip to the islands takes approximately 4-5 hours to the Similans or Koh Tachai, and 3-4 hours to the Surins.
